I normally visit either my mother or sister,
it's the only holiday I feel like celebrating,
and it's a time for family.
This year was nice and quiet.
My brother-in-law, (U), has two kids from his first marriage.
A son, (S), and a daughter, (R) but R was with her mother and S spent most of his time with his girlfriend.
(They're Kissing On The Mouth!!! and Hugging!!!, as the kid, 8-year old Zed, put it)
S went to his mother the day before Christmas Eve, and after that it was only me, Zed and his parents.
My mother and her boyfriend also came down on Christmas day and stayed for two days.
We played "Nya Finans", a more advanced version of Monopoly with stocks and bonds.
We also played poker which is quite interesting when Zed is playing, he can bet anything between 10-300 dollars
on any hand. You never know if he has a straight flush or nothing until you get to see his cards.
Zed got both a playstation 2 and a
Lego Technic Tow Truck. I spent 2 or 3 days building the truck for him while Zed played some snowboard game on the ps2.
Lots of yummy food was consumed, and we didn't eat only the typical swedish christmas food.
A new cheese shop has opened close to my sisters place, and we had cheese and crackers one day, Langres! Mmm.
G and U likes fishing and they always have whitefish roe that we eat on crispy flat-bread.
Since there was no snow at all, (first time that I haven't had a white christmas), U took out the grill on Boxing Day
and we had grilled meat, which normally is summer food. And G made palt yesterday before I left for home.
I stayed for a week but it felt much shorter. Still, even though it's sad to leave, it's good to be home again.
